Revival

What the church needs the most today is revival - a heaven sent and Holy Spirit empowered revival. While the church is full of activities it is an undeniable fact that churches are wanting of a Spirit-filled life that will help her afloat in the midst of this spiritually decaying world. Many believers in the Lord remain carnal and indifferent to true spirituality. A lot of church goers (and I'm not talking about unbelieving church goers, but believers in Christ) are not living the way they should. We have come to a point in time where Christians could no longer be distinguished from non-Christians in their life-styles - the way they talk, the way they think, and the way they live. When they go to church it is not to please God but themselves. They want their own comfort rather than to love and to sacrifice for the brethren. No wonder they are pampered and as such their attitudes stink. Even the call to deny oneself is now ignored and instead one's right is always insisted.

The church should pray for a genuine revival, for unless God sends a mighty conviction by the power of the Holy Spirit among the hearts of Christians nowadays, the church will continue to be very busy with so much activities that have nothing to do with the advancement of God's purpose for his church and so deceiving herself that she is doing just fine, which in turn produces carnal and selfish believers if not counterfeit believers.

We need revival. You and I need revival. The church needs revival. And unless we have one in our time, be it personal revival or church revival or nationwide revival or global revival, the church will remain like the Titanic, it's indeed big, but it's sinking.
